**La Coruña, 19 June 2026.- ** “We have completed a phase of strong expansion and investment, during which we have built a solid and diversified international platform with high income visibility in the long term. Now we are embarking on a new phase where the focus is on growth, profitability and generating cash flow”, said Luis de Valdivia, chairman of Ecoener, at the Annual General Meeting held today in La Coruña.

Ecoener went public five years ago, a milestone marked this past May, and has since transformed its operational profile: 815 MW in operation and under construction, six times more than in 2021, and revenue of 85 million euros in 2025, more than double the figure from five years ago, with 63% coming from international business and a 50% EBITDA margin.

“The entry into operation of developed assets in recent years, which mark the new phase of growth, will drive results”, added the chairman of Ecoener.

The company can also boast of a highly visible income, backed up by long-term power purchase agreements representing almost 3 billion dollars. It has exceeded the 880 MW under the PPA schemes with an average duration of 18 years, after recently being awarded several agreements in the largest electrical power auction in the history of Guatemala. This strategy is sustaining a recurring and stable business model.

As for the new phase, Ecoener plans to gear its expansion towards markets in the EU and OECD, while maintaining its position in Latin America. “We’re going to carry on growing in regions with predictable regulatory frameworks and developing technologies with high growth potential, especially wind power and hybrid solutions with storage capacities”, said Luis de Valdivia.

As a first step, the company has 372 MW which it plans to develop in the short-term ready-to-build phase, with projects in Romania, Colombia and Guatemala.

**Financial optimisation **
To support this new stage, the company will strengthen its financial position by analysing the range of alternatives offered by the markets, as chairman of Ecoener explained. “We regard it as vital to carry on optimising the company’s financial structure, while always applying the criteria of value creation and adequate market conditions”.

**Storage **
Energy storage is emerging as one of the company’s strategic foundations. “Ecoener is moving forward on the development of storage technology because we believe it will be essential for ensuring more efficient, flexible and stable power systems”, said Luis de Valdivia.

The company now has energy storage projects underway in the Dominican Republic and the Canary Islands that together account for 177 MWh of capacity and three of the assets planned for construction in 2026 will be hybridised with BESS systems. The company also recently obtained 8.4 million euros in Next Generation funds to modernise and incorporate storage systems in its hydroelectric plants in Galicia.
