• The company has 723MW in long-term energy sales agreements in six markets with an average length of 19 years.
• It also has 312MW in the process of being connected to the grid expected to start operating this year.

La Coruña, 19 June 2025.- Ecoener has reached PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) amounting to approximately $3,000 million (€2,600 million), as announced by the Chairman, Luis de Valdivia, today in the Ordinary Annual General Meeting held in La Coruña.

Thanks to this strategy, the company amounts to 723MW under PPAs, including assets in operation, under construction and under development, four times the 167MW it had in 2022. These agreements, which guarantee a stable income in the following years, have been signed with major electric distribution groups in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia, Honduras and Canada with an average length of 19 years.

“Our priority in each asset in operation is to reach energy sales agreements that ensure long-term high margins”, signalled Luis de Valdivia, who described the performance of the company in 2024 as “very positive”.

The hight prices of PPAs and the strong generation increase allowed Ecoener to increase their revenue by 28% in the last financial year, up to €82 million, while the Ebitda improved by 30% to €42.1 million.

New assets

Ecoener’s Chairman highlighted that the results for 2025 will be driven by the commissioning of assets in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Colombia. “Of the 360MW under construction, 312MW already have their facilities completes. Most of them are in different stages of the administrative process of connection”, underlined the Chairman of the company.

Ecoener closed 2024 with assets in operation in five countries with a combined power of 427MW, 25% more than in 2023. Luis de Valdivia confirmed to the shareholders the goal to reach 1,000MW in operation and under construction this year, which will “mark a milestone in our history and allow us to consolidate our position as a leading company in the sector”.

Independent Directors

The Ordinary Annual General Meeting of Ecoener has approved all the items on the agenda, including the appointment of Baldomero Navalón Burgos and María Casares Medrano as new independent directors of the company to substitute Inés Juste and Dean Tenerelli. “I want to thank them for their outstanding contribution the Ecoener’s growth since the company went public in May 2021”, said Luis de Valdivia.
