La Coruña, 29 September 2026.- Ecoener has scaled new peaks in operations and financial results, going beyond 1 GW of its capacity for assets in operation and under construction and a 53% increase in EBITDA, reaching 29.9 million euros in the first half of 2026.

The EBITDA margin stood at 55%, eight points higher than in the same period last year, thanks to increased investments in recent years.

The company recently commenced construction of two new 200 MW photovoltaic plants in Guatemala, breaking the gigawatt barrier in operation and under construction, which is now 1,015 MW.

In the first half of the year, the company reached record breaking energy generation levels of 612 GWh (+51%), thanks to added power from the seven photovoltaic plants brought into commercial operation between the end of 2025 and early 2026 in the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Guatemala. These assets, which hold a joint capacity of 253 MW, increase Ecoener’s operational power level to 680 MW and contributed towards a growth of 29% to 54.2 million euros in revenue.

Advances in company internationalisation continue to be major driving force behind its growth. International business practically doubled the firm’s sales to 43.1 million euros, and represents 79% of total revenue.

Meanwhile, Ecoener continues to maintain high visibility and stability in its future income. 87% of energy sales come from long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) or regulated mechanisms.

The consolidated net income stood at almost three million euros.

“Ecoener has changed scale and these results show that growth is being converted into greater energy generation and profitability. Investments made in recent years are starting to bear fruit, and this can be seen ever more clearly in our results. We want to use these foundations to carry on growing with financial discipline and long-term value creation”, said Luis de Valdivia, chairman of Ecoener.

THE SIZE OF ECOENER: NOW MEASURED IN GIGAWATTS
Five years after being quoted on the Spanish Stock Exchange, Ecoener broke the 1 GW capacity barrier in operation and under construction for the first time. “Ecoener’s size is now being measured in gigawatts. When we were quoted on the Stock Exchange in 2021 our total output was 283 MW. Five years later, we have increased that capacity almost fourfold and have a solid and much more diversified international platform”, said Luis de Valdivia.

This new increase in capacity follows the start of construction of two 200 MW photovoltaic plants in Guatemala. Both projects have long-term PPAs, and they will be hybridised with battery storage systems. They are expected to go online for commercial operations in 2028.

Ecoener plans to extend this period of growth by commissioning an additional 500 MW over the next two years, which will raise its operational capacity to around 1,200 MW in 2028.

As part of this new phase, Ecoener recently strengthened its capital structure and equity with an issue of mandatory convertible bonds for 15 million euros. This operation has reinforced its financial flexibility for executing the project portfolio.

REPUTATIONAL GROWTH AND RECOGNITION
The change of scale experienced by Ecoener in recent years has also been accompanied by growing recognition of the company amongst its stakeholders.
Ecoener appeared in the Merco Companies ranking list for the first time this year. The company occupies seventh place in the energy, gas and water sector of this leading Spanish corporate reputation monitor, making it the first Galician renewable energy company to appear in the classification.

This new ranking stands alongside Ecoener’s presence in the Merco ESG Responsibility as a reflection of the evolution of a company that, together its operational and international growth, has strengthened its corporate positioning and recognition in recent years.

“Growth isn’t just about increasing our capacity or improving our results. We want to do all this while also building a solid and responsible company that can generate trust amongst all our stakeholders. The recognition of Ecoener’s reputation in this area is especially important to us”, said Luis de Valdivia.
