La Coruña, 23 June 2026.- Ecoener has been recognized as one of the energy companies with the best reputation in Spain, according to the Merco Empresas 2026 ranking, the country’s leading corporate reputation monitor.
In its first appearance in Merco Empresas, Ecoener ranks seventh out of a total of ten companies evaluated within the energy, gas and water sector.
In the overall ranking, it holds position 192, also becoming the first Galician renewable energy company included in this prestigious assessment.
This recognition highlights Ecoener’s sustained commitment —and that of all the people who are part of the company— to a responsible energy model focused on the development of renewable projects.
With 37 years of experience, Ecoener continues to uphold the same conviction that drove its beginnings, when it integrated its first hydroelectric plants into the Galician landscape: to actively contribute to the energy transition while maintaining absolute respect for the environment and working in collaboration with local communities. This approach is now reflected in the company’s adherence to the highest environmental, social and governance standards across all the markets in which it operates.
Merco Empresas is one of the most internationally recognized corporate reputation monitors. Since 2000, it has evaluated companies in Spain using a multi-stakeholder methodology that combines a total of 64,764 surveys, 7 evaluations and 29 sources of information. It is also the world’s first audited monitor, with independent verification. Both its criteria and results are publicly available and can be consulted on its website.
With this recognition, Ecoener reinforces its commitment to sustainability, long-term value creation and the trust of its stakeholders.
